Liebe Mitglieder und Freunde der ABDOS,
aufgrund der Coronavirus-Pandemie haben die ABDOS und die Staatsbibliothek zu
Berlin – Preußischer Kulturbesitz entschieden, die eigentlich für den 13. bis 15. Mai 2020 vorgesehene 49. ABDOS-Tagung in Berlin zu verschieben.
Wir werden in der nächsten Zeit prüfen, inwieweit wir Teile der geplanten Tagung im
Umfeld des Workshops der FIDs Ost-, Ostmittel-, Südosteuropa und Slawistik vom 15. bis 16. Oktober 2020 in der Bayerischen Staatsbibliothek in München werden durchführen können.
Nicht zuletzt aufgrund der exzellenten Rückmeldungen auf den diesjährigen Call for Papers bedauern Olaf Hamann als Leiter der Osteuropa-Abteilung der SBB und der ABDOS-Vorstand diese Entscheidung außerordentlich. Angesichts der aktuellen Situation gibt es dazu aber leider keine Alternative.
Wir hoffen sehr, uns im Oktober 2020 in München alle gesund wiederzusehen.

Dear Members and Friends of ABDOS,
due to the current Coronavirus pandemic ABDOS and the State Library Berlin – Prussian Cultural Heritage have decided to postpone the 49th ABDOS Conference scheduled to take place in Berlin from 13th to 15th May 2020.
We are now trying to negotiate whether parts of the planned conference can take place in close proximity to the planned workshop of the special information services „East, East Central and South Eastern Europe“ as well as „Slavic philologies“ in the Bavarian State Library Munich (15th and 16th October 2020).
Not least because of the excellent responses to our Call for Papers Olaf Hamann, Head of East European Collections at the State Library Berlin, and the ABDOS Board deeply regret having to take this decision. There is, however, no viable alternative to this decision at this moment.
We hope to see you all in excellent health in Munich this October.
